Article: LANDSCAPING CHANGE OK'D FOR BRANCH LIBRARY

As one of the final phases in renovation of the Robert A. Pastrick Branch Library, the East Chicago Library Board has authorized a $2,650 change order in landscaping. The landscaping change calls for planting 24-inch to 30-inch privet hedges along the entrance of the library, located at the corner of Baring and Chicago avenues, spreading black dirt in the front and laying sod.

The change order for R.A. Snemis Construction Co. Inc. of Hobart, the general contractor for the renovation, will reduce the original landscaping cost of $4,300. The original plan also called for fencing in the area.
