Paula Cooper, the Gary teen-ager condemned to death for the murder of her elderly Bible teacher, said on Italian television Friday that she was shocked by the concern shown for her by thousands of Italians and Pope John Paul II ''because all my life nobody cared for me."
In the videotaped interview from her cell at the Indiana Women's Prison in Indianapolis, Cooper also said that if she were to regain her freedom, she would like to start a family and "do something for young people."
