Think your job bombards you with a lot of problems? Try managing a public fish and wildlife area and pleasing everyone.
Example: Kingsbury Fish and Wildlife Area near LaPorte, one of the most popular deer hunting spots in Indiana. Last fall there were 14,000 deer hunting efforts at Kingsbury with 569 whitetails harvested.
Because so many people want to hunt on fish and wildlife areas when the season opens, the state has gone to a drawing for reservations for the first three days. After that it is on a first-come, first-served basis for a prescribed number of hunters, based on the acreage of the area.
