To say Kenneth Brock is for the birds is an irresistible pun.
Brock, author of "Birds of the Indiana Dunes," is an avid birder who is helping make history in Indiana.
" 'Birder' is a new word," he said as he began to talk about his favorite hobby.
Although the British prefer the familiar old title of 'Bird Watcher', Americans consider the term passe," he said.
No matter which moniker is preferred, birding is becoming more popular and more is known about birds today than when Brock became a birder almost 20 years ago.
