Tim Harrison, owner of TM Martial Arts at 3109 Theodore St., Joliet, said the martial arts offer valuable benefits to people of all ages. At TM Martial Arts, children and adults learn tae kwon do and combat hapkido, as well as women's and children defense and fitness exercises.
"Martial arts teach self-confidence, respect, self-defense skills and improve attitude," Harrison said. "Students also get improved stamina, flexibility, balance, muscle tone, concentration and stress reduction."
