Students in the special education program at Minooka Community High School are benefiting from a partnership with Morris Hospital. The partnership allows the students to hone job skills learned in the classroom in an actual work setting.
The partnership is part of the pre-vocational III class, in which each of the students is enrolled.
"This class is actually the third step in a process that each of our students go through," said special education teacher Kathy Thomason. "In pre-vocational I, taught by Deb Gross, students study various job search skills, such as completing job applications and understanding job interview skills. They also learn about proper workplace etiquette.
