Evan Lysacek has been a fixture at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships since 1999, when he won the novice title.

As Naperville's Evan Lysacek headed today into into his fifth U.S. Figure Skating Championships at the senior level, he said experience has made the difference with his physical and mental preparations. "I'm feeling really relaxed this year because I know what to expect," said Lysacek, 19, who made his debut at the U.S. Championships in 1999, winning the novice title. In 2000 he became the junior men's champion, and the following year made the move to seniors.
