Norvelle Stewart of Plainfield partly attributes her breast cancer survivorship to the tender loving care she received at Second Baptist Church in Joliet.
In 2003, when Stewart's sister, Miriam Neal of Joliet, and Stewart's niece, Marla Neal-Roberts of Joliet, invited Stewart, then undergoing chemotherapy treatments, to visit their church, Second Baptist Church, Stewart belonged to another Baptist church in Indiana.
But she fell in love with Second Baptist Church and joined the following year.
