Evelyn K. Richie, age 95, of Chicago, Illinois passed away on Monday, May 23, 2005 at Hospice of the North Shore in Skokie, Illinois. She was born on December 3, 1909 in Fox Township, Kendall County, the oldest daughter of Elias and Ingeborg (Nelson) Knutson.
Evelyn was united in marriage in 1930 to Mr. Wilbur H. Buchholz and they spent the next 41 happy years of their lives together until his passing in 1972. She was later united in marriage, in 1974, to Dr. Leonard Richie. Eveyln was a school teacher, for two years, in Kendall County.
