JR Miller of Wilmington collected more than 1 million pop tabs from aluminum cans, with the help of local businesses and a fourth-grade class, to donate to the Ronald McDonald House in the Chicago Pop Tab Recycling Program.

WILMINGTON -- Ever wonder what a million pop tabs look like? Ask JR Miller. He knows because this is the third time he has collected a million pop tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House in the Chicago Pop Tab Recycling Program. On Thursday, he will lug one 55-gallon container, four 45-gallon containers and two 20-gallon plastic totes filled with the 1-inch aluminum tabs that most people toss out in the trash.
