The Home Builders Association Of Greater Chicago (HBAGC) is accepting applications for the 2005 Scott Brown Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship, administered by the HBAGC's Young Builders Council (YBC), was created more than a decade ago in remembrance of Scott Brown. Brown was the son of local building icon Richard J. Brown, founder of Cambridge Homes of Libertyville, a DR Horton company. Richard J. Brown died in January. Another son, Douglas R. Brown, is now president of Cambridge Homes.

Up to three monetary awards will be distributed through the scholarship fund to students in northern Illinois. To be eligible, a student must be pursuing a higher education with aspirations of a career ...
