The Rental Housing Support Program Act was passed by the Illinois General Assembly on July 1 and will affect all real estate recording in the Recorder of Deeds offices throughout the state.
Beginning Aug. 1, all real estate recordings that affect an interest in real estate will be subject to a $10 surcharge.
