Janice Borla of Naperville, along with other members of her crew, have been working endless hours in preparation for "Hot Jazz -- 6 Cool Nites", a show at North Central College that opens tonight and continues through Thursday.
Say "Miles Davis," and most people will recall the legendary jazz musician's outstanding trumpet solos. But he was also a creative band leader and a talented composer. He is credited with helping many young musicians, like Herbie Hancock and Keith Jarret, get started by making them members of his bands.
