John Van Camp, 86, passed peacefully from this life on November 6, 2005 in Zion, IL, following a prolonged illness. John Chester Van Camp, Jr., was born on December 27, 1918 in Lafayette, IN, to John Chester, Sr. and Ruth Bernice (Gosma) Van Camp.
He was a graduate of Purdue and Yale Universities. He was a well-known landscape architect in the Northern Illinois area and served as a City Forester for several towns. He was owner and operator of Van Camp Landscape Contractors and Midwest Shadetree Consultants. John was a member of the Wisconsin Arborists Association and at times served as its' President.
