In any other week, it might be easy for North Central to overlook North Park, the last-place team in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. This isn't any other week. The Cardinals (8-1, 5-1) need to beat the Vikings (3-6, 0-6) to have any shot at their first NCAA Division III playoff berth in school history. They can also win a share of the CCIW title should Augustana lose at Wheaton on Saturday.

However, NCC will not get the conference's automatic bid into the postseason because of last week's bitter 20-17 loss in Rock Island, which came when Augustana got a second-chance field goal with no time left because of an offsides penalty.
