Article: Neighbor in custody after Chapman slaying

Ricky Chapman's 20-year-old next-door neighbor is in custody pending charges he killed the U.S. Steel manager Christmas Day. Timothy Harvey was arrested Saturday afternoon after Detective Jeff Hemphill saw the suspect in the 700 block of Johnson Street.

Homicide Squad detectives have been watching a house on that block since learning Harvey had been seen in that area, Sgt. Thomas Branson said.

Investigators declined to comment on a motive for the slaying, saying the investigation was not complete.

Branson said the case would be presented to the Lake County Prosecutor today.
