PHOENIX -- Left-handed reliever Will Ohman pitched his way off the Cubs' big-league team last spring training. The bosses were frustrated to see Ohman falter when they basically had a spot open that they expected him to fill. After eight games at Class AAA Iowa to open the 2005 season, Ohman eased the tensions between both sides over his demotion by being recalled in late April and seizing the opportunity. He eventually was 2-2 with a 2.91 earned run average and the opponent didn't score on him in 58 of his 69 appearances.
