Those who want a sampling of Las Vegas need travel only as far as Hoffman Estates. The Barrington Junior Women's Club will hold its second annual "Meet me in Monte Carlo" event Saturday at the Stonegate Banquet and Conference Center.
The event will raise funds for a number of area organizations the Barrington Junior Women's Club supports with grants each year.
"The more successful this fund-raiser is, hopefully the more grants we'll be able to fill," Janet Magee, event co-chairwoman, said.
In the last 13 years, the club has distributed more than $640,000 in grants to organizations in the Barrington area and surrounding suburbs that serve women, children, the elderly and their families.
