A Honda Accord collided with a Dodge van in a funeral procession on Lake-Cook Road last week, causing the van to flip over and land on its roof.
The three people in the van, who are from Lafayette, Ind., were transported to the hospital, where they were treated and released the same day, said Buffalo Grove Police Sgt. Scott Kristiansen.
The procession left St. Mary Church July 27 after the funeral service and was heading east on Lake-Cook to the cemetery at about 11:10 a.m. Police said Oleg Chernenko, 26, of 1425 Sandpebble, Wheeling, was driving a silver 2002 Accord south on Weiland Road.
