Lake County Crime Stoppers and Vernon Hills Police are seeking information about a bank robbery in Vernon Hills last week. But no new leads have surfaced, Kim Christenson of the Vernon Hills Police Department said.

Police said they were alerted to a hold up alarm at LaSalle Bank, 515 E. Townline Road at approximately 9:55 a.m. May 19.

Police said a dark-skinned, black man entered the bank and had shown a note to the teller that demanded money. The suspect was described as being in his early 20s, between 5-foot-4 and six-foot tall, a medium build and large eyes. Police said he ...
