Jimmy Zimmerman can't wait for another crack at a big tournament.
The Libertyville High School junior finished 2-2 in the Liberty Bell Invitational on Saturday, picking up wins over Vernon Hills players Stephen Mustari and Tim Fong. Zimmerman lost to a Glenbrook South foe and also fell to Carmel's Nick Andres.
"I just freaked myself out playing my first invite at No. 1 singles," admitted Zimmerman, who played No. 1 doubles last spring. "I just have to go out and be a little more relaxed."
The Wildcats tied for fifth at Liberty Bell with 6 points.
Zimmerman began his week by facing Grayslake star Neil Lesinski. The returning state qualifier beat Zimmerman 6-2, 6-1.
