 N. Chicago homicide: Victim, 23, found in car NORTH CHICAGO - An autopsy has determined that a Waukegan man found dead in a car on a North Chicago street Sunday morning died of a gunshot wound to the head, investigators said.
Dead is Thomas Strawder, 23, of the 1000 block of Juniper Street, said Lake County Coroner Dr. Richard Keller.
He said he delayed reporting the death until the exact cause of death was known.
Keller said the initial investigation found Strawder suffered head trauma, "but it was not obvious it was a gunshot wound. We were not sure of the cause of death until Monday afternoon following the autopsy."
