Mundelein officials are beginning discussions for the possible acquisition of land for a new village hall somewhere in the downtown area.

Mundelein village trustees met as a committee as a whole in closed session Monday night to discuss potential sites for a new village hall. No decisions were made at the meeting.

"We're really just beginning discussions on sites that may or may not be available," said Mundelein Trustee Bruce Campbell. "The only thing I can definitively say is it will be in the downtown. There are probably four or five good options."
