Article: Parking permit holders get to keep their spaces

Permit holders at the Touhy Triangle lot will keep their parking spots after all. Their input has changed the minds of the Park Ridge Public Works staff.

The staff had previously suggested to the City Council's Public Works Committee designating the 41 spaces in the lot at Touhy and Summit avenues for Park Ridge Public Library employees and moving the permit holders to the Reservoir lot, located between Northwest Highway and Touhy and Summit avenues.

The employees currently hold 15 designated spaces in the Central lot, which is adjacent to the Library. The other 25 Library workers park in two-hour spaces in the lot. The recommendation, presented at a committee meeting on Oct. 1, would have ...
