Article: Back to drawing board for Skokie Blvd. condos

A developer who wants to build a residential-commercial complex on Skokie Boulevard property just north of Dempster Street must work with village planning staff to revamp his project before trying again to win approval for it from the village plan commission.

Ronald Kozil agreed at last Thursday's plan commission meeting to postpone his request for site plan approval of a 60-unit, six-story project at 8845 Skokie Blvd. He did so after village staff told commissioners they were concerned about the almost 62-foot height of the project and about its ground-floor design.
