A committee of two School District 103 board members will be looking into the pros and cons to Lincolnshire schools of a proposed retirement community on the former Boznos property on Milwaukee Avenue.
On the plus side, the proposed development by Erickson Retirement Communities could bring much needed property tax dollars with no new students. On the minus side, the seniors may not necessarily be inclined to vote "yes" on school referendums.
The school board members, Liza Veeneman and Cathy Santimauro, will begin meeting in the next few weeks to gather facts, School District 103 superintendent Scott Guziec said.
