Lincolnshire police have arrested a disbarred attorney after a two-year investigation into a string of home-repair scams throughout Lake, DuPage and Cook Counties.
William Yotis, 47, of Western Springs, was indicted on 30 counts, including two counts of theft over $100,000, engaging in a continuing criminal enterprise and forgery for incidents which occurred from September 2003 through September 2004 at locations throughout the three counties. He is expected to appear in court on April 17.
Yotis faces four class 1 felony charges, which are not probational. The maximum sentence for each class 1 felony is 20 years.
