The Holy Cross football team fell to 0-2 this season with a 15-6 loss to St. Laurence Saturday at home.
The Crusaders trailed 15-0 before breaking the shutout with 5 minutes, 34 seconds left in the fourth quarter. After recovering a Vikings' fumble on the Holy Cross 41-yard line, quarterback Tom Miller hit Brendon Lyon with a 37-yard pass, setting up Miller's touchdown plunge from three yards out.
Down 15-6, Holy Cross then successfully attempted an onside kick, which Cody Lockwood recovered at the 50. But St. Laurence quickly intercepted, thwarting any possible Crusaders comeback.
