Barrington senior Victor Del Rosso met his goal at his final MSL cross country championship.

Del Rosso finished fourth in the 3-mile run at Busse Woods, crossing in 15:50. He and teammates Mike Dorazil (8th, 15:59) and Chase Edgerton (24th, 16:27) made all-conference.

"I wanted to finish in the top five," Del Rosso said. "I got out a little fast but I stayed up with the pack. I wasn't looking at times, but I was looking at finishes. The course was sloppy so you really didn't want to look at times."

Barrington finished fourth (99 points) behind league champ Wheeling (65), while Schaumburg (91) beat Hersey on a tie-breaker for second place. Hersey's Steve Maltas ...
