Victor Del Rosso, who plans to study engineering in college next fall, got a head start on construction work before graduating from Barrington.

On Saturday, the Bronco senior ended his cross country career with an all-state performance. He maneuvered around the 3.1-mile course at Peoria's Detweiller Park in 15:15 for 25th place at the IHSA Class AA championship meet. His time was a 23-second improvement from his previous best. Del Rosso is Barrington's first all-state cross country runner since R.J. Dorazil in 1996.
