It's still all right to have a laser pointer in the village of Cary, but just watch where you point that thing.

In a last-minute move, the Village Board last week amended a proposed ordinance that would have prohibited anyone under the age of 18 from possessing the hand-held pointers. That provision of the law was removed. The ordinance that received the board's approval makes it illegal to misuse a laser pointer.
