Nearly two years after The Garlands retirement community was approved by the Barrington Village Board, the project continues to be tweaked slightly as construction carries on.
The recent change involves the addition of 12 guest rooms to the development's commons
BARRINGTON building, replacing the 60-room country inn that was determined to be too dense to include within the project itself or on a site immediately adjacent. The Garlands is located on the former American National Can property on Northwest Highway, just south of the Barrington Area Public Library.
