Willie Wright is a Grayslake Community High School student who is an ace both on the field and off.
The GCHS senior has been accepted to attend the University of Chicago this fall, where he will play football and baseball. He will also be a co-valedictorian during this year's GCHS graduation ceremony, to be held May 21.
"I'm excited," said Wright about the co-valedictorian honor. "It feels good to be able to tell my kids (in the future) that I was co-valedictorian."
"It's a relief," Wright continued. "The hard work all actually paid off."
