Article: Signs to adorn sites up for new zoning

While a task force of merchants considers how to limit the size and nature of window signs in Glenview businesses, the Village Board April 4 agreed to erect its own signs on properties being considered for zoning changes.

The village currently notifies by mail the owners of property within two lots of a site for which a zoning change has been sought.

The new ordinance also requires a sign to be posted on the subject property announcing the public hearing and asking the reader to contact the village for the date, time, place and subject matter of the proposed development.
