Article: Panel: Move or demolish Village Hall

Barrington Village Hall will either have to be moved or demolished so a new Village Hall can be built in its place, members of the building sites and facilities committee decided last week.

After a heated debate over whether to keep Village Hall and lease it to a private party or tear it down and rebuild it, committee members agreed that the old Village Hall had to go. Keeping it, and building a new Village Hall where the public safety building is now, would limit the space and functionality of the new facility. To tear it down was a more fiscally responsible decision, they concluded.
