Through Labor Day, Sept. 1, the Les Turner ALS Foundation will collect donations for the 20th Anniversary Mammoth Music Mart for Lou Gehrig's Disease, scheduled for Sept. 18-28, in a giant tent at Old Orchard Center in Skokie.
"Turning music into miracles," the 11-day sale, the largest fund-raising event of its kind, features more than 400,000 musical and electronic items donated for sale.
The Mammoth Music Mart is seeking the following donations of new and used items, including: full-length compact discs, records, cassettes, video tapes, video laser discs, musical instruments, sheet and book music, computer software, audio and video equipment and more.
