Article: Lupus support group forms, has its first meeting today

A new support group is forming in the Barrington area to help people who suffer from a disease that is referred to as "the opposite of AIDS."

The disease is Lupus, and more than 500,000 people nationwide suffer from it. Lupus causes the immune system to overreact, which eventually kills cells and damages internal organs. It is not contagious, but can be life-threatening and causes symptoms such as skin rashes, joint pain and chest pains.
