Article: Park District board votes 6-1 to buy house despite dispute

Only three residents out of 80 who signed a petition opposing the Park District's move to a new headquarters attended a special meeting Tuesday night to voice their concerns.

Residents Lou Seidenberg, Taras Klymkowych and Glen Sizelove live in the immediate vicinity of where the Park District desires to buy a vacant house at 109 Alleghany Road.

In talking to Park District Board members at a special facilities committee meeting, the trio expressed concern about increased traffic they say would be caused by a preschool run full time out of the Park District's current headquarters, 243 Harvey Avenue.
