Article: Farmer's market sales tout success

The term "supply and demand" comes alive every Wednesday along downtown Grayslake's South Slusser Street.

The sight of large crowds gathered around a dozen booths selling bread, meat, fruit, flowers and more is a beautiful one for business owners participating in the village's first Farmer's Market, held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Sometimes, to the vendors' delight, the demands of patrons have overwhelmed the supplies, forcing business owners to restock their goods after just one or two hours.
