Kevin Trudeau might be best-known as the author of "Mega Memory," but a marketing plan for vitamins and self-help tapes based in Niles is what caught the eye of Illinois Attorney General Jim Ryan.
Trudeau, of Chicago, said he has been singled out of thousands of other distributors of Nutrition for Life products by Ryan and denied owning a company.
"We are not a multi-level marketing company. The suit is without basis," he said Monday.
Ryan filed a civil suit last week against Trudeau for allegedly operating an illegal pyramid scheme and for failing to disclose past felony convictions and a bankruptcy as required by law, according to information provided by Ryan's office.
