Article: Kostka's village race on hold as he seeks School Board seat

Palatine resident Warren Kostka says his concern runs deep for both the village of Palatine and High School District 211.

But in the next week or so, Kostka might have to concentrate his efforts on one or the other.

The longtime observer of both the high school district and the Village Board has submitted an application to fill the vacant seat on the District 211 School Board that arose when Shirley Meier resigned from the board last month.

Kostka also has been considering a run for Palatine village president, which is up for election next April. To test the waters, he has been distributing "Warren Kostka, Village President" cards for the last several months.
