When the new train station opens for business later this month early morning passengers will be able to breakfast on freshly-baked rolls and hot coffee from the Gourmet Chalet, 23 S. Prospect.
Leases for two vendor spaces in the new Metra Train Station were approved by City Council members last week - one for the popular gourmet coffee shop that has become a breakfast and lunch staple in Uptown and a second for the Park Ridge Cab Co., now called called Park Ridge Taxi Dispatch Systems.
Development Director Randy Derifield said this week contractors are promising a Jan. 15 opening for the station that has been closed since construction began late last spring, but much inside finishing work ...
