Article: CURBB's Barclay to run in 5th Ward

She has long worked for the citizens of Park Ridge in an "unofficial" capacity as the leader of a small zoning watchdog group, but Judy Barclay is now setting her sights on becoming an "official" part of city government.

Barclay has announced that she will be running for alderman of the 5th Ward in April. Although she was considering a run for at least a few weeks, she said she made up her mind on Jan. 2.

"I have thrown my hat in the ring. I've decided to give it a go," Barclay said.
