Article: Skokie Boulevard plan unveiled

Northbrook trustees are willing to consider a mixed-use development on the vacant property at 1000 Skokie Blvd., but they say there's far too much for the site in a new proposal to build 414 residential units and nearly 94,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space.

The plan, put forward by a development partnership led by CDW founder Michael Krasny, would create a vast complex of two mixed-use buildings, free-standing retailers and restaurants, row homes and town houses and three nine-story condominium towers along Skokie Boulevard south of Sunset Ridge Road.
