The last thing the Fenwick boys basketball team needed at any point in its game against Gordon Tech was a double-digit lead.

Fenwick coach John Quinn was concerned on two fronts before the basketball went up in the air against the Rams, which would make a big lead a disadvantage.

Quinn was 100 percent sure his players were aware the Rams started the season with a 15-game losing steak and had won only two games. That type of information often leads to overconfidence.

The second concern was the Friars coming off an emotional game against Loyola Academy three days earlier.
