There's a new managing editor in town - not just in name and appearance but in job description, as well. Associate Editor Denise Crosby, who has been a Beacon News columnist since 1995 and Sunday projects editor since 1999, takes over as managing editor today. She fills the spot vacated by Rick Nagel, who was promoted on July 6 to the newly created position of editor-publisher.

"Denise Crosby will be a managing editor unlike any you've ever seen," Nagel promises. "She will reinvent this position in ways that will surprise, delight and captivate new readers throughout the Fox Valley."
