Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis and senior quarterback Brady Quinn could be bound for a Bowl Championship Series bowl despite a soft schedule and lopsided losses to Michigan and Southern Californina.
It seems that everybody forecasting the non-championship BCS bowl matchups figures Notre Dame will be playing in one of the four.
They're probably right, even though you could argue the Irish aren't worthy.
Notre Dame lost by 26 points to No. 3 Michigan, and by 20 to No. 2 Southern Cal. The highest-ranked opponent the Irish have beaten is No. 23 Georgia Tech. And Notre Dame barely escaped Michigan State (4-8) and UCLA (6-5) with three-point victories.
Any other 10-2 team with Notre Dame's 2006 ...
