Article: Gunman in Bolingbrook standoff moved to county jail

BOLINGBROOK - By late Sunday night, William D. Linley, the man who fired more than 100 shots at police, had been released from the hospital and was in custody at Will County Jail. Police were making a well-being check Friday night at Linley's home, 130 Wethersfeild, Bolingbrook, when upon arrival, they smelled natural gas and would later confirm that Linley had filled his home with natural gas, according to police. Police were able to shut off the gas line moments before Linley began shooting at officers.
