Article: One vote counts

America was founded on the principle of one person, one vote. The primary reason individuals and families from other countries continue to flock to our shores is that we believe that everyone's opinion counts - and on Election Day, should be counted.

However, as Election Day nears and negative advertising reaches a fever pitch, I can understand how many potential voters become frustrated, and some even decide not to vote at all. Over the years, I have had Republicans and Democrats alike ask, "Why should I bother? My one vote won't change anything." That is simply not the case. In matters of major importance, one vote - your vote - can make all the difference.
