For many people the holiday season is not merry and bright, but a painful reminder of what they need. Perhaps you would like to help someone in a tough situation, but do not know where to start.

The following agencies are collecting items to help those individuals and are offering suggestions for donations. In addition, the Department of Children and Family Services also helps their clients, but they are no longer allowed to solicit for donations, only receive them. In the past, useful items were winter clothing for children, including outer gear, gifts for children and food baskets. For more information call (815) 730-4000.
